This is my first week in Makassar, South Sulawesi, Indonesia. A week of arrival, getting to know, learn exciting new things, explore around Makassae and SMP- Telkom schoo.

Day of departure!!!!!!
The time of learning is beginning!!!

Chiang Mai Airport, Chiang Mai, Thailand. The sun is setting. The sun’s shining,It's more beautiful every day. What a beautiful day!. People around me are saying goodbye to the people they love. To me, I'm said goodbye to my family already. This trip is different from every time. This is my first trip without my parents. I just have a friend who travel with me. The purpose of this trip is Indonesia. There are four of us traveling with me. But everyone are different major. There are only Balkis that come to the majors like me. Kik come from elementary school. Bom from chemistry.
Now I and my friend are walking on the plane. We are all excited, anxious and happy with this trip. The time of departure is beginning.
The sky of today is really beautiful. It's like being excited about me on my way out to learn something new.
Now, in my head, I'm thinking about a lot of things about this trip. It's rather exotic. I can't close my eyes My eyes are looking around to explore and collect information about the new things I have found. It looks really exciting !!!
Hot green tea and to cold at tonight. In the coffee shop located within the Kuala Lumpur Airport, Malaysia. my friend and we are waiting for the plane to fly to Indonesia around 7 hour.
Now we all share our thoughts and feelings in preparation for life in Indonesia. I am more concerned than my friends. Balkis told me not to worry about everything. We will be happy and enjoy it when we are in Indonesia.
At 7 A.M. on August 5, 2018
It's time to travel again after waiting for more than 7 hours. It's time for me and my friends to say goodbye to Balkis. Just me, kik and bom that go to Makassar. Balkis has to travel to another city from where we are going to learn new things in Makassar, South Sulawesi. This trip I have more excitement than ever. My heart is really beating.

Sultan Hasanuddin International Airport, Around 12 A.M. My first days in Makassar, South Sulawesi, Indonesia.
To day is the first day of arrival in Makassar, Indonesia. It's 1 hour faster than Thailand.
The weather is very hot here because it's summer but It's great for me. The sky is beautiful today. It is similar to the sea with blue water in the sea. The first thing I saw was the difference. Everything here was different from my country. Everything looks amazing. Everything looks great, and it's amazing to learn. At that time I thought It's time for my learning to start.
A guy wearing a blue shirt smiling at me and a friend. When we walked out of the airport. Yes!!! this is Mr. , he is coordinator from State University of Makassar. At that time, I recognized the warmth and safety that I received. I have lost it all. Only excitement.
He took me and a friend to a La Macca hotel that is a hostel. The La Macca hotel is a hotel which is a subsidiary of the State University of Makassar. Me and my friends have to stay here for a month. My buddy to stay in the room with me is Kik.
I met Buddy from State University of Makassar. They are cute and kind to me. They helped me and my friends to organize the room, bought a SIM card, and in the evening they took me and my friends to dinner.
This is the first meal in Makassar. The name of this is " SATE ". It was made from chicken and the meat was roasted. It like SATE of Thailand But the sauce is different. The sauce of SATE in here is sweet and spicy, and the rice is cut into pieces in the plate. This is very new menu to me. Because I have never tried this kind of taste before. I can not describe it in detail of SATE, but it's really delicious.
Today I am very happy and excited to learn something new in Makassar. Although this evening I will miss the family very much, but here it makes me feel safe and warm when it comes.

Days of getting to know everyone.
Day 2 of Indochinesia
Today my activity is to go to State University of Makassar to meet Ms. Widya, she is coordinator from State University of Makassar. They have been welcome to me and my friends from Thailand, talking about get to know the university and talk about the school that taught, including Schedule of every week in a month of me.
Ms. Widya and her colleagues from State University of Makassar have warmly welcomed me and my friends, and she has taught Bahasa language to me and friends, she told me thai i can use Bahasa language in everyday life and use it in school.
Example Bahasa language is Selamat Pagi, it's mean good morning. and Bahasa language for introduce yourself is Nama saya Eing, Asal saya Chiang Mai, Thailand, Saya mahasiswa dari Chiang Mai Rajabhat University, It's mean my name is Eing. I'm come from Chiang Mai, Thailand. I am a student from Chiang Mai Rajabhat University.
In the afternoon. My buddy has taken me and my friends to explore around the University of UNM. I like the style of the State University of Makassar campus's central building that resembles a ship. It can clearly indicate the identity of Makassar in relation to the trading of boats or as a port in the past. The State University of Makassar have 5 campus.And each campus is in a different area, including also the faculty of Science and Education.
August 7, 2018
Teaching practice with Mr.Widya and visit another university campus. This is the Faculty of Education.
Today, I had the teaching practice to present to Ms. Widya. This practice was a pre-practice session at the school to prepare and correct the defect during actual instruction.
Today I am excited and not very confident because this is my first full English teaching.
Today my presentation is not as good as it should be. I have too little activity for my students and my teaching is quite jammy. Because I'm too nervous.
Ms. Widya advises me on teaching, about additional activities such as games and she has encouraged me. I feel more confident than ever.
At noon, Mr. yasser took me and my friends to visit another campus. This campus belongs to the Faculty of Education. There will be other major in this study. Such as elementary school.
I have explored around this campus. including see the class of students. I see many projects that students have done. Some damp about my majors, it's about biology For example, Hydroponics was planted without soil . It looks very fun. And I also got to know new friends from this faculty.
This time I visit this campus. Students are graduated and celebrated on campus.
In the evening, Buddy took me to dinner at Pantai Losari and travel around Pantai Losari . The restaurant is about seafood and very tasty. Pantai Losari is the popular landmark of Makassar. Pantai Losari is a commercial port in the past and is currently used as a port for transport. It is also a place to relax. Have a boat statue Or many monuments such as Toraja.
Today is another day where I learned a lot and went to new places to meet new people. I made a lot of fun and relaxed for when i miss my home.

Explore around SMP- Telkom school and meet with the principal of SD - Telkom school.
Today is the first day of visiting a school where I can practice. I'm more excited than ever because today I will meet my students. And today's schedule is to meet the principal and explore around the school. including I talked to my mentor about the schedule I had to do when I came to school.
When I met the principal and teacher of SMP-Telkom School, they warmly welcomed me. We talked about the school and what I and my friends were to do in school.
We then met with mentors, my mentor name is Mrs. Umi and talked about my schedule and my classroom that I teach. We're also conducted surveys around the SMP-Telkom school and went to see the classroom of the students used in the teaching. Meet some of the school's students.
Based on surveys around SMP-Telkom school. This school is divided into two parts. For SD-Telkom school and SMP-Telkom school. This here have ranging from grade7 to grade9 for SMP-Telkom. school, but for SD-Telkom school there will be only grade1 to grade4 without grade5 and grade6 This school is just open soon. For students have different uniforms of students each day. The school has a library and computer room, Laboratory room of science, gyms, religious room and cafeterias, and the school is close to the high school. kindergarten school and including also close to the UNM. This school is quite technologically advanced.
Sources of learning and technology
The school have a library, computer room and Religious room for search for information and knowledge. The library of the school is one of the important sources that is near and convenient to use. There are many kinds of books and computers inside in order to service the students to look for information and study when they are at the school. They can also go to get in the Universitas Negeri Makassar’s library and SMK-Telkom school’s library that is not far from the school. In each classroom, there are some books which are provided to students to read in their free time, have knowledgebase and projectors in every classroom. This is quite convenient for the teachers be used for the presentations that the teacher used when they explain something. They can help the teaching process interesting and fast. Students can easily understand when the teacher explains the content in the class. Moreover, there are other facilities supporting student learning in the school like Science Laboratory, Multimedia laboratory, Free Hot Spot Area.
In evening, buddy brought me and my friends to go and see the sunset at Akkarena beach.
Sunset is beautiful here. I fell in love with it and was very relaxed. People come and say goodbye to the sun today. I found some strange fish in the beach, there are so many kinds of strange fish such as jellyfish. It makes me very excited to shout out that it's really great!!!! I am very happy with this day.

Today is the second day of coming to SMP-Telkom School.
Today, I talked and got to know the teacher of junior high school. the teacher of junior high school are so kind for me and Mrs.Umi took me to introduce myself to each student. Total 8 rooms for grade8 and grade9 that I will teaching practice.
The students were very excited when I introduced myself in the classroom. They are cute and give me a lot of hugs and very respect me when I know that I'm a very good exchange student from Thailand.
Again I fell in love that easily because of their cute. I promise myself that I will
intend in teaching them to repay the love they give me this time.
By observing, students in this school can understand and speak English at a good level.
Today, there is no classroom instruction for all students. Because the school is assessed.
Teachers must prepare the information for the assessment. Today I did not observe teaching. It's my free day. But I went to observe the teaching of Bom's mentor at the Laboratory room of science. In science subject. They have to do the science labs.
All day long, I have time to talk to the students and explore around the school and prepare my lesson plan.
August 10, 2018
First time to exercise with student.
Today is Friday. Students will dance to exercise before class. It must be done every Friday morning. Every student will wear a gym suit. The teachers and students at the school will exercise together, and I will be participating in this opportunity. It's very fun. They seem to like this activity very much.
Today is one day to no classroom instruction for all students But each student has a work to do in the room, which the teacher assigned.. Because the school is assessed.Teachers must prepare the information for the assessment. Today I did not observe teaching. And i still prepare my lesson plan.
The afternoon, students will change into scout uniforms and for Islamic students. They will pray for about 45 minutes to 1 hour before praying. Students will learn the scout until the end of the time. They will do this every Friday.
